Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a kitchen assistant who has experience in cooking for large groups of people. Level 2 or Level 3 in catering / kitchen experience is desirable as well as an understanding of the unique dietary needs of elderly people.

This role involves assisting with daily preparation of all meals and snacks, including texture modified diets for our residents.

Requirements of our Kitchen Assistant:-

• To have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
• Excellent communications skills.
• 35 hours a week on average. Our shifts are 8am till 6pm on a 3 on, 3 off basis.
• £11.50 per hour.
• The job involves working within one of our nursing homes in Barrow in Furness or at Aldingham and St Cuthberts Nursing Home at Aldingham which own transport is essential for travelling to Aldingham.
