IT Support Technician

Duties

Our client is seeking IT Support Technician to join their team on a salary up to £28,600, the site has free parking though applicant will have to live within commutable distance and drive. The IT Support Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues using the IT helpdesk workflow; the IT Support Technician will complete requests within stated SLA, add work logs, provide effective resolution comments and add to the solution function within the Helpdesk. The IT Support Technician will work as part of a team delivering high quality in and out of hours call handling service. The IT Support Technician will have the following duties:

• Liaises with 3rd party suppliers and sources IT equipment in a cost-effective manner from recommended suppliers
• Communicates with internal customers via the Helpdesk, telephone or face to face.
• Maintains a log of any software or hardware problems detected.
• Allocates more complex service issues to the relevant IT member.
• Arranges for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house.
  
  

Capabilities, Skills And Experience Required

• Ability to manage time and prioritise requests based on urgency and importance.
• Previous helpdesk experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service focused.
• Team orientated attitude to help co-workers, customers and departments with technical problems.
• Motivation to learn new skills and Technologies.
• Any real world and hands on experience with the following technologies will differentiate candidates:
• Citrix XenApp, Windows Server 2016, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, VMWare 6.7, Teams Telephony, Network Security protocols
• Excellent team play
• Strong communication skills (verbally and written)
