Management Accountant

Job Title: Temporary Management Accountant

Location: Telford (5 days a week on site)

Duration: 6 months (maybe temp to perm)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. This role will support the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with departmental heads to gather financial data and assess resource allocation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Monitor financial performance against budget, investigating variances and proposing corrective actions.
• Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in management accounting, preferably in a temporary or contract capacity.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
