What You'll Do
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in continuing the delivery of a well-established procurement function. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading on all aspects of procurement, from managing tendering activities to supporting managers with product and service acquisition. You will also be instrumental in driving continuous improvement within the procurement function. With your expertise in public sector procurement, you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the organisation's procurement strategy and policies. This role is integral to how events are delivered and services are provided.
- Lead on all aspects of procurement including managing and overseeing all tendering activity
- Engage with and support managers with the procurement of products and services aligned to social value and procurement strategies
- Lead on the continuous improvement of the procurement function
- Influence and shape the organisation's procurement strategy and policies
- Embrace all the benefits the new legislation will bring to support the delivery of an efficient procurement service across the business
- Advise on procurement matters utilising the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR2015)
What You Bring
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you bring a wealth of experience in leading procurement functions. Your understanding of public sector procurement regulations, particularly PCR2015, enables you to effectively manage tender exercises and advise on related matters. Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards it, you have demonstrated your ability to drive continuous improvement within a procurement function. Your skills are crucial in shaping the organisation's procurement strategies while ensuring alignment with social value objectives.
- Proven experience as a procurement lead
- Working knowledge of public sector procurement
- Experience in managing tender exercises
- Understanding of Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR2015)
- CIPS qualification or working towards it
