Murray Recruitment is currently recruiting an Operations Manager to join our esteemed Building Services client based in Lanarkshire.
This role is ideal for a Design or Project professional with extensive experience in managing domestic and residential sprinkler projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, from initial award to final handover, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This role offers the opportunity to develop to Directorship.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from award to handover stage, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Coordinate closely with clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
Oversee installation works on-site, ensuring adherence to project time-lines and quality standards.
Attend regular site meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and provide updates.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
Produce detailed project-specific reports, documenting progress, challenges, and solutions.
Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and profitability.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Resolve any technical issues that arise during the installation process.
Provide technical support and guidance to the installation team.
Experience And Skills Needed
Over 5 years of experience in a similar role within the sprinkler systems industry.
In-depth knowledge of domestic and residential sprinkler systems.
Familiarity with relevant sprinkler suppression standards, particularly BS 9251:2021.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members.
Valid driving license.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
Proficiency in producing detailed project reports and documentation.
Commitment to health and safety regulations and best practices.
