Our client is looking for a Product Design Engineer with a strong focus on electronic hardware development to take the lead on electronic aspects of the product lifecycle. This hands-on role involves working closely with a small, collaborative team, driving both new product development and the improvement of existing products.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the Technical Lead for electronic design, verification, and qualification.
Oversee electronic design processes, including peer reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical mentorship and problem-solving support to the production team.
Collaborate with the sales team on technical proposals and customer support.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience in hardware design for embedded electronics.
Proficiency in tools like Altium, LTspice, or similar design packages.
Experience supporting products throughout their lifecycle.
Desirable Skills
Experience with EMC-compliant design and knowledge of military specifications.
Interest or experience in optical sensor design is a plus.
Personal Attributes
Strong multitasking abilities, with the capability to mentor others.
Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams.
