Welder Fabricator - What does the job involve?

Ensuring the best manufacturing techniques are carried out by practical application of the most appropriate methods of programming, setting and operation of the machine tools and to stimulate an atmosphere of continuous improvement. Supporting and producing the production of components to ensure they conform to customer requirements.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.

Core shift - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:15 and Friday 08:00 to 15:00 with 30-minute break for lunch

Welder Fabricator - What will my responsibilities include?’

• Welding and Fabrication of aerospace sheet metal components using jigs, fixtures and manual methods of production including TIG welding
• The manufacture of ducts, vanes, details and other sheet metal components including TIG welding, ensuring they conform to both customer requirements and company procedures
• Accurate interpretation and completion of production route cards
• Achieve company work & quality standards
• Ensuring that the required standard of work and good housekeeping is maintained at all times.
• Perform all reasonable requests made by management
• Proof of experience with TIG Welding would be desired

Welder Fabricator  - What key skills and experience do I need?

• Must have the right to live and work in the UK (Essential)
• Must be able to read and interpret technical documentation, visual aids and drawings
• Experience of working with and TIG welding Titanium & Inconel would be beneficial
• Must be able to work under own initiative with limited supervision accurately and timely
• Minimum 2 years’ TIG welding experience, previous aerospace TIG Welding role would be an advantage
• H & S conscious
• Team Player
• Flexible (overtime and shift patterns when required)
• Willing to engage in Continuous Improvement projects
• Willing to cover in other areas when required.
