Café Supervisor
Part time: 32.5 hours per week x 39 weeks per year (term time only)
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. Friday 8.30 - 1.00p.m.
NJC pay scales level 6 £26,873 per annum, pro rata for part time staff.
Responsible for the operational efficiency of the catering service, planning, preparation and presentation of food and beverages to the required standard within the budget limitations as agreed with the Catering Co-ordinator.
To comply with food hygiene and health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of food hygiene. To take full responsibility for cleaning rota’s, cash handling and recording.
The Café Supervisor will work alongside catering tutors, Supported Internships, Job Coaches and volunteers to provide a conducive learning and working environment where learners can practice catering skills and preparation for work.

Southend Adult Community College is a vibrant and successful College, with 3 sites. Our main site is based in the Southchurch area, close to Southend East train station on the C2C line. The College has 2500 Learners annually supported by 165 established staff. The college has an annual turnover of £5m. and is looking to grow its income.
The provision includes community learning, SEN and high needs provision, adult skills, vocational pathways, and study programmes for young people.
