Here at SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK we have an opportunity for enthusiastic team player to play a vital part in implementing our H&S strategy in the Central region.
The salary for this position is from £36,407 - £42,707 plus Car/Allowance, up to 10% bonus, 5% matched pension, 25 8 holiday.
About The Role
What will I be doing as a H&S Advisor?
As one of a team of four H&S Advisors, you will support a diverse portfolio of sites. Reporting to the Regional H&S Manager, you will work to strengthen the existing positive health and safety culture using our behavioural safety initiative “Safety in Mind”. Frequent weekly travel across your designated sites is required, with occasional overnight stays.
You will actively identify continuous improvement opportunities across our systems whilst promoting health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives and best practice. Working with our operations teams to develop risk assessments, safe working procedures and participating in accident investigations to maintain our high standards must come naturally to you. Strong communication skills are required to ensure effective engagement with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the business. Working actively to develop our network of health, safety and wellbeing representatives is a further key aspect of the role.
What are the requirements? (Experience & qualifications)
You will hold a NEBOSH general certificate as a minimum requirement. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a desire to progress within a successful and supportive team. Strong analytical, report writing, and computer skills are further prerequisites. Waste sector knowledge is desirable.
