Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire a deep appreciation for Humanities, tailored to suit the needs of KS3 and KS4 students.
- Cultivate Critical Thinking: Encourage students to think critically about social, historical, and geographical issues, fostering a love for learning and inquiry.
- Assessment and Progress Tracking: Regularly assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust lesson plans to support individual learning needs.
- Build Positive Relationships: Create a supportive and inclusive environment, building rapport with students and encouraging a positive classroom culture.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with other staff members to create cross-curricular links and support the broader school community.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in Humanities.
- Experience teaching Humanities at the secondary school level, particularly in History, Geography, and/or Religious Studies.
- Strong classroom management skills, with a passion for engaging students of diverse abilities.
- Flexibility and commitment, with an interest in moving to a permanent position after an initial temporary period.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
