Job Summary:
Thames Building Control Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The Office Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining office efficiency, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Duties:
- Arranging site inspection appointments
- Database entry ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery
- Computerise and maintain office records and documents
- Perform general administrative tasks to support office operations
- Assist in organising and scheduling appointments
- Handle incoming calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency
- Conduct data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
- Assist in clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication within the office
Requirements:
- Building Control related experience or knowledge of the construction industry is preferred but not necessary.
- Proven experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluent English speaking
- Team player but with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately
- Professional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
