A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT AT THE CROWN HOTEL, HARROGATE

What you'll be doing...

As Accounts Assistant you will support the accounting function of the hotel ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing income and expenditure. You will report to the Hotel General Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Group Financial Reporting Manager

You can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Ensure all invoices  are accurately processed, approved, coded and posted
  • Ensure suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms
  • Assist in the recording of hotel income including cash and credit card reconciliations

This position is for an fixed term period of 6 months. 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Accounts Assistant, you will need the following qualities and skills: 

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ideally some purchase ledger experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Organised and methodical
  • Strong communication skills
