Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.

Job Overview

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing a team of engineers, overseeing their performance, utilisation, PPM, parts ordering, returning of parts, and effective communication with the Production and Technical Managers.

This role requires a strong background in engineering principles and project management.

• Oversee the performance and utilisation of the engineering team, optimizing resources and ensuring efficient operations.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to meet company objectives
• Manage parts ordering and returns, ensuring that the team has the necessary materials to complete their tasks effectively.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide technical guidance on problem-solving
• Ensure that engineers complete job sheets in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records of work completed and any issues encountered

Skills

Experience in a similar role, managing a team of maintenance engineers who has strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills

• Experience in a similar role that covers both electrical and mechanical engineering responsibilities.
• HNC Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG desirable
• Electrical qualifications (NVQ level 3/18th edition essential)
• Proficiency in CAD software for design and modelling
• Strong mechanical knowledge for effective engineering solutions
• Experience in root cause analysis for troubleshooting technical issues

Onsite Role - Avonmouth

Mon-Fri with some flexibility

Salary - £55-60k depending on experience
