As our student numbers increase and we continue to diversify our programmes and portfolio, we are looking for high-calibre people to join our Domestic Student Recruitment team as a Student Recruitment Manager for Bristol & Exeter
on a fixed term contract for one year to cover maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity to enter a well-established and respected department. As the Student Recruitment Manager for Bristol & Exeter, you will help us to achieve and deliver our recruitment strategy by managing all student recruitment activities in the South West region, delivering events to recruit Undergraduate students to our Bristol campus, and Postgraduate students to both our Bristol and Exeter campuses, as well as the wider set of ULaw campuses. You will develop and maintain extensive relationships with key stakeholders at schools, colleges and universities in the region, leveraging those relationships to book activities within those institutions as well as encouraging students to visit our campuses for events.
Alongside your direct report, you will plan, organise and deliver these events across the region, travelling to the necessary locations to do so, and work towards targets for these external events.
You will use data to produce update reports for your Senior Student Recruitment Manager and your campus dean, providing insight into activities and competitor intelligence, and will take the lead on recruiting for student ambassadors and campus representatives for your region, alongside your direct report.
You will be able to have persuasive but supportive conversations with prospective students, being a strong self-starter and be a personable and excellent communicator.
As our Student Recruitment Manager, you will:
- Develop, own and deliver your Regional Student Recruitment plan, running strategic events at local schools, colleges, universities and on our campuses
- Provide line management for the Student Recruitment Officer
- Drive intelligence gathering for your region, developing an awareness of the competitor market for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses
- Engage with institutions and develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders
- Support with the running of our Student Ambassador and Campus Representative programme for your region
We are looking for people who are/have:
- Student Recruitment/Outreach, Events or commercial business environment experience
- Experience of managing client/stakeholder relationships
- Confident in delivering presentations and workshops to students across schools, colleges and universities
- Can work as part of a small team, working to targets and using data to monitor their region
- Flexible, reliable and hard working
