The Role
With an increasing number of projects and development work required at Link Theory to enable the ambitious growth plans for the next 3 years, this position will manage the day-to-day operations of the Logistics Department. The successful applicant will need to be both confident in the role and know when to refer matters if required. Experience in the issues involved is therefore required as is an understanding of the nature of fashion retail logistics, together with a desire to constantly improve service levels during a transitory stage in Link Theory’s European development.
ROLE OBJECTIVES
To constantly improve the service to Link Theory’s wholesale, retail and B2C customers.
To ensure timely and accurate deliveries to all UK European B2B and B2C customers.
To communicate at several management levels with 3PL providers both in the UK and in Europe.
RESPONSIBILTIES
Day-to-day management of the LTH Logistics Operational administration.
Overseeing the In and Outbound process from when goods are leaving the factory up to delivery to wholesale and retail partners.
Dealing with Freight Forwarders and other transport providers as required.
Order book management and owning allocation and order release process, to the 3PL Warehouse providers.
Managing post market order process in collaboration with Sales, Planning and US teams.
Ad-hoc reporting as required by Finance, Sales, Planning and Logistics.
Supporting Sales Managers with queries when required.
Liaising with the Credit and Sales team on order fulfilment, returns and escalated customer cases.
Support in onboarding of new clients and implementation of new delivery requirements.
To attend scheduled operational and development meetings when required, to communicate logistics issues and to input on new IT and process changes.
Managing and motivating team of 3 Logistics Administrators.
REQUIREMENTS
In-depth understanding of the Fashion order cycle and seasonality.
Collaborative approach towards external partners, clients and internal teams.
3 years’ experience in wholesale and retail operations.
Calm management style, ability to handle difficult situations and find consensus.
Good knowledge and some experience of using ERP systems.
Highly experienced with Excel and other Microsoft applications.
Strong communication skills and a genuine team player.
