Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Salary: GBP11.72 : GBP12.78 per hour (Actual: GBP19,370.70 : GBP21,122.66, depending on experience)

Hours: 37 hours per week : Term Time Only

Your Role

• Support Learning and Development: Collaborate with professionals to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can succeed.
• Personalised Assistance: Provide one:on:one or small group support to students with sensory and communication needs.
• Build Strong Relationships: Foster trust with students, ensuring a safe and welcoming learning atmosphere.
• Behaviour Management: Implement creative strategies to encourage positive behaviour, adapting to each students unique needs.
• Personal Care: Offer assistance with personal care, ensuring students feel supported and respected.
  
  

What Were Looking For

• Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
• A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) : essential.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• A flexible and creative approach to adapt to individual learning needs.
