Job Description:
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process for residential housing projects. Your role will involve ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant legislation and safety standards. You will lead and manage the on-site construction team, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain excellent communication with stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day on-site operations, ensuring adherence to construction schedules and budgets.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to ensure quality and timely delivery of work.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and legislation.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Liaise with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any design or construction issues.
Provide clear and effective communication with the client, updating them on project progress and addressing any concerns.
Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, health and safety documentation, and material inventories.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure project success.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential house builds.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
Strong understanding of all relevant legislation, including health and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are desirable.
