The Finance Team at Tradebe is growing in response to the demands of a fast-growing business and increasingly demanding control and governance environment. Reporting to the UK Finance Director, the role sits alongside and works closely with Financial Control and other areas of Finance, Legal and Business Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the tax function for the UK Group of companies, working with our external consultants, improving controls and compliance across the tax spectrum, providing valuable tax insight to the rest of the business.
As a Tax Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Management of the UK corporation tax function, in coordination with our external consultants
Build relationships with external UK and Group tax advisory teams
Coordination with Group Tax Team
Ensure Transfer Pricing Compliance
Take ownership for the relationship with HMRC, handle and assess their enquires, coordination of the process, follow up and regular internal communication of the enquiry status
Take the lead on straight forward UK tax accounting and reporting requirements
Tax planning assessment and reporting
Lead the groups annual assessment of qualifying expenditure for R&D tax credits
Review and improve processes around the VAT return
Support and improve responses to tax evasion risk across the organisation
Monthly / quarterly submission CT preparation including documentation and review processes
Provide technical tax and project management support on local and global projects: changes in group structure, property and M&A transactions etc. where required liaising with external Tax partners
Support the wider finance and trade team with indirect tax queries for specific cases
What we need from you
An accounting or tax qualification (ACCA/ACA/ICAS/CTA)
Experience of working in either in-house in a B2B or manufacturing type environment or a substantial UK Tax practice
An interest in systems and indirect taxes
Strong written, verbal and communication skills
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
A confident individual with good levels of judgement and pragmatism, comfortable working within a commercial environment with senior members of the business

Salary and benefits
A base salary of approx. £70k
