The Greater Manchester Shared Service (GMSS) is an exciting partnership between Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Police, which was established early in 2017. Based at Stretford, our aim is to provide a first class, professional, HR and payroll shared service for our 20,000 employees and customers across both organisations.
We are looking to recruit Transactional Team Leader to lead one of our fantastic transactional teams and play a part in the delivery of the GMSS business plan.
If you love to be busy and are seeking a challenge in a fast paced, high volume, customer focused environment, with a passion for service delivery, this could be the job for you.
We are based in Trafford Town Hall in Stretford and support over 20,000 colleagues across Trafford Council, Schools, Leisure Services, Police Officers and Staff. This is a hybrid role with a mix of home and office based working.
You will support the Service Delivery Manager in delivering a quality service across a wide range of HR transactional processes and resource management. An understanding of HR legislation will be useful as you will be an escalation point for the team.
Main purpose of the role
Any appointment made to this role will be subject to the appointable candidate being vetted under Greater Manchester Police clearance processes. The vetting process does include residency in the UK for the last 3 years.
For an informal conversation about the role please contact Carol McBurnie, Service Delivery Manager, on 07580 697942.

Whilst there may be a requirement for you to visit our offices on a regular basis, post holders will also have the option to complete some of their working week at home, if desired. Successful candidates will also have access to our pension scheme, with substantial employer contributions, and to a range of other benefits.
