As a band 6 midwife, you can be working across all areas of the maternity services from the moment you start with us. Successful applicants will be provided with a supportive individualised induction programme which reflects current experience. We offer dedicated PMA support and a named B7 line manager. We actively support you to develop and enhance your skills and maximise your potential within all aspects of midwifery.

The Midwifery Practitioner will work as part of a Midwifery team providing care and advice to women during pregnancy, labour and childbirth, and postnatal care for women and babies in a range of settings such as the home, community, hospitals and Children’s Centres.
they will have the knowledge and skills to care for women during their childbirth experience and is accountable for her practice.
They will work closely with obstetric colleagues when complications arise to ensure safe practice in whatever setting the mother chooses.
Working as part of a midwifery team, the post holder will contribute to the future development of the maternity service through participation in development initiatives.
The post is not area specific; all trust employees will work as appropriate to the needs of the service.
