Job Description
Would you like a role where you can fully utilise your nursing skills, and have the opportunity to further your learning?
Here at Aintree Vets4Pets we actively encourage and support CPD and study towards certificates, to ensure that you become the RVN you aspire to be.
Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they are able to fulfil their clinical potential. We have a team of talented Receptionists to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively and enabling you to lead and manage nurse clinics and perform schedule 3 procedures. This opportunity does also include clinical coaching so experience or willing to learn in this area will be advantageous.
You’ll be joining a strong, inclusive clinical team made up of a Head RVN, Senior RVN, 2 SVNs with one soon to qualify, and 2 VCAs, as well as an advanced team of 5 soon to be 6 Vets, and Practice Owners. Between the team there are a high number of qualifications and certificates, so you’ll have great mentors around you to learn from and plenty of assistance if needed. We also take pride in supporting degree nurses and will continue to do so.
This is a full-time role which can be worked over 4 or 5 days with only 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (9am-12noon). No Sundays or OOHs.
We are based on the Racecourse Retail Park inside the Pets At Home store, at the heart of the local community. Our practice provides excellent facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients. We are in a great location with ample parking and great access to local amenities, providing a great variation for those important lunch breaks!
Along with a competitive salary up to £30,000, we offer all the standard benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 20% off at Pets at Home).
You should have excellent customer service and communication skills, and a good experience of veterinary nursing with a genuine interest in animal welfare, enjoying the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike.

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
