Position Details

Role: Court Usher

Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday (08:30-17:00).

Duration: Temporary assignment until 03/02/25, with potential for extension based on performance

Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour

Location: Park road, Poole, BH15 2NS

Start Date: ASAP, vetting pending

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring parties are ready for court hearings, calling on cases in the court room, ensuring customers make contact with solicitors
  • Swear in Juries, make sure Jurors enter court room.
  • Liaise with Barristers and Judiciary to ensure cases are ready to be heard.
  • Basic admin duties, answering calls and post duties.

Skills And Qualifications

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Note: The offered candidate is subject to vetting - enhanced DBS clearance and an activity check for the last 3 years.
