About The Role:
Walr is looking for a Client Development Director who thrives in the fast-paced energy of a startup environment. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned sales leader with a robust background in strategic account management. The ideal candidate will be adept at driving revenue growth, nurturing client relationships, and leading diverse teams with vigor and vision. We are looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and negotiation skills and that is ready to elevate our client engagement strategy.
Joining us in this hybrid remote role means you'll have the flexibility to work from home, whilst also connecting with your colleagues at our vibrant London office on a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth, retention, and satisfaction across your client portfolio and team’s portfolio.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and deepen relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations, delivering tailored solutions that meet their unique business needs.
- Revenue Generation: Lead efforts to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to achieve monthly revenue / annual revenue targets.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the more junior members of the Commercial team. Encouraging individuals to adopt a growth mindset.
- Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to inform proposition development, sales strategies, and account plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams across operations, marketing, finance, and technology to synergise efforts towards collective business goals.

- Market Research Industry Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in the market research industry with comprehensive knowledge of its methodologies, trends, and the evolving needs of clients.
- Client Relationship Building: A proven track record of cultivating strong, sustainable relationships with agency & consulting clients, aligning our solutions effectively with their strategic objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Stong skills in strategic thought and planning, capable of designing and executing impactful account strategies that align with our corporate ambitions.
- Revenue Growth: A history of successfully driving revenue growth through strategic account management, upselling, and cross-selling initiative
- Team Leadership: Recognized leadership capabilities with a focus on motivating teams, fostering an environment of collaboration, and accountability.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to both internal teams and external clients.
