Hourly Rate: £16.63 - £17.59

Are you passionate about breaking down barriers to support people to live a more independent and fulfilling life?
We are currently looking for a highly motivated person to join our highly successful, and growing, team within Community Support, to deliver excellent support in the community.
In this exciting role, the post holder will work with the service’s management team to develop and deliver the supported living services, which will deliver consistent, high quality and effective care and support solutions to vulnerable people. This is an established service to the My Options service and requires someone who feels they are ready for the challenge.
You will be able to demonstrate being proactive in your approach to care and a willingness to adapt and change as we develop with new innovations and challenges within the care sector.
Whilst previous experience is preferred, this is not essential as we’re looking for people with the right values to join our team

- Someone who is flexible and adaptable, to continually develop and improve the service activities and sessions to meet the needs of the people they’re supporting, taking on board the views of those individuals, with the ability to adapt very quickly to the person’s changing needs.
- Someone who can build an honest, trusting and engaging relationship with the people they’re supporting as this is essential for the person to get the most benefit from their sessions.
- Someone who is committed to personal development, both for their personal benefit and to benefit the people they’re supporting.
- Someone who can lead and manage a team of support staff
These qualities are more important than previous experience, although it’s very welcome, as full support and training will be provided to enable you to gain that experience.
About Us
My Options - Activity Wellbeing and Care Services is part of Telford & Wrekin Council and provides a wide range of person-centred support to over 350 people to vulnerable people of all ages and abilities.
We currently provide a wide range of services including; Community Activity and Wellbeing, services, Community support for those people living in their own or shared accommodation. Our services also include a very successful Shared Lives Scheme, a range of services for children and young people and The Skills and Enterprise Hub, where people can develop their skills and confidence as part of their stepping stone to work.
