Uses machine learning, computational methods, and data analysis to identify, implement, and test relevant and viable algorithms for modeling a system or problem. Being an Algorithm and Simulation Engineer II creates scalable frameworks to run simulations repeatedly and quickly or model operational environments and processes. Develops visualizations to review and communicate results. Additionally, Algorithm and Simulation Engineer II writes and reviews code in relevant languages, packages, and libraries. Typically requires a master's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Algorithm and Simulation Engineer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
