Job Description for Classified Security Manager

Classified Security Manager manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of classified security programs and protocols in accordance with all relevant government standards and regulations for the management of classified information and materials. Establishes protocols to ensure that staff, consultants, and visitors possess appropriate security clearances and handle documents and materials appropriately. Being a Classified Security Manager establishes plans of action to identify and address potential weaknesses or risks. Briefs and trains personnel on proper security procedures and protocols. Additionally, Classified Security Manager investigates security incidents and their potential harm to the program. Requires active government security clearance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Classified Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Classified Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
