Materials Planning Assistant IV performs clerical functions to assist material planners in coordinating raw materials for efficient production. Uses MRP system to monitor and track materials from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Being a Materials Planning Assistant IV inputs material needs, including all codes, brands, and contact information necessary to process orders in system or database. Tracks and develops reports to monitor performance metrics such as inventory levels, scheduled deliveries, and supplier performance. Additionally, Materials Planning Assistant IV resolves simple issues or errors and escalates larger problems to necessary supervisors. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Materials Planning Assistant IV independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.
