Job Description for Resident Pharmacist

Resident Pharmacist is responsible for completing a post-graduate program of advanced pharmacy activities, research projects, and patient care. Under the guidance of experienced clinicians, participates in patient care activities, attends pertinent lectures or conferences, researches and develops answers to drug information questions, and discusses patient cases. Being a Resident Pharmacist develops skills and competencies in providing pharmaceutical care to a variety of patients in a variety of settings. Areas of clinical practicum may include internal medicine, ambulatory care, emergency medicine, critical care, and specialty areas. Additionally, Resident Pharmacist responsibilities commensurate with level of training. Requires a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Typically reports to a pharmacist.
