Reviews financial models to understand the risk exposure of an organization's assets. Additionally, Vice President of Risk Management develops training and educational materials to identify and mitigate risks. Promotes organization-wide understanding of risks and risk management strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Vice President of Risk Management manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Vice President of Risk Management typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.
