Ionic Mechatronics is presently seeking an inside sales coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working in heavy industrial and mining environments. This position offers flexibility when working in an office environment. The preference is for an individual with a strong technical aptitude and interest in technical sales. This position is an entry-level formative position, which can lead to other opportunities within the company depending on individual interest, aptitude, and performance.

The candidate will be responsible for inside sales.

Job Description:

The inside sales role will consist of material take-offs and quoting. Materials sourcing and project documentation. Assist management and shop supervisors with project coordination. Maintain a detailed and organized spare parts inventory and coordinate inbound and outbound parts. The role will include quoting panel parts for various companies within the Ionic Technology Group, providing electrical panel projects, assisting in purchasing, managing minor projects, and performing other tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, flexible, a self-starter, independent, diligent, and practical. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be highly organized, possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must enjoy direct interaction with customers, engineering, technical and sales staff. Must enjoy variety and have time management and multi-tasking abilities. Must be willing to travel if required and have a valid passport. Must be able to work under deadlines and time constraints.

Mandatory Qualifications/Experience:

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident or valid work permit, preferably holding a diploma/degree in post-secondary education.
• Ontario Drivers License
• Excellent English skills – oral and written.
• Well-versed with MS Office suite and general computer skills
• Prior Inside Sales or related experience is a considerable asset.
• Good work ethic
• Ability to be thorough and stay organized.

Other Qualifications/Experiences (Good to have):

• Practical Experience with electrical panels, including PLC, Instrumentation, Power and Control and network panels.
• Automation Experience for custom machines
• AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 2D or 3D software platforms
• Previous experience dealing with customers and client requests.
• Understanding of underground and surface mining operations
• Understanding of the metals refining industry
• Strong knowledge and capability for reading and understanding manufacturing drawings.
• Good working knowledge of commonly available fabrication materials
• Experience or familiarity with electrical control systems.
• Practical experience with fabrication and machining practices
• Previous experience doing material take-offs and estimating fabrication labour.
• Shipping and Receiving experience.
• Marketing experience with various social media platforms
• Facilitate videos and pictures of our machines for marketing purposes.
• Video formatting, creating flyers, brochures, and other materials for marketing purposes.
• Managing online RFP and purchasing systems
