Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain equipment in good working order.
- Read and understand written procedures to determine appropriate actions in unusual situations.
- Communicate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Perform venipuncture, urine collection, and blood glucose tests.
- Assist registered nurses with routine clerical work in the lab setting.
- Be able to follow safety rules, carry out safety precautions, and report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
- Operate laboratory equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- Current Phlebotomy Certification
- California Phlebotomy license
- BLS Certification
