The Outdoor Lighting Program Manager provides consultation regarding Duke's Outdoor Lighting Program to governmental, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. This position requires a customer-facing, team-oriented individual who has a high degree of technical and business expertise to be effectively utilized to help explain the Program and how it can fit customers' needs. This position is also responsible for coordinating and leading internal and external resources to provide the necessary support for deployment of the Program. This position will report to the Manager - Outdoor Lighting Program and will engage with Large Account Management, Community Relations, Marketing, Customer Delivery Lighting, all the while promoting the Program and assisting governmental, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers to subscribe to the Program. Responsibilities • Explains all the details of the Outdoor Lighting Program, including complex tariff items, the technical aspects of lighting, product specifications, options and performance, to solve complex customer lighting needs • Ensures customers' needs are met through effective communication and coordination with the Customer Delivery Lighting design and operations groups • Engages with, builds relationships, and provides Program promotion, training and support to internal stakeholders such as Large Account Management, Community Relations, Economic Development, and others. • Becomes involved with and helps resolve a wide variety of issues that affect customer satisfaction such as product warranty issues, lighting trespass, tariff questions, and more. • Supports the development and continuous improvement of the Outdoor Lighting Program initiatives, offerings, and processes Basic/Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other related field In addition to required degree, minimum six (6) years relevant work experience In lieu of required degree, High School/GED and minimum twelve (12) years relevant work experience Desired Qualifications Professional Engineer Lighting Certified Professional Experience in outdoor lighting products and lighting design highly desired. Strong command of Duke's Outdoor Lighting tariffs and service regulations desired. Experience in electrical distribution design desired. Experience in speaking and making presentations to a wide variety of customers, from residential to municipal officials and large developers highly desired Working Conditions Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
