Position Summary:
The Fundraising Events Manager is a motivated, self-starting individual who can be the primary person responsible for executing successful fundraising events where attendees are glad they came and happily donate.
In this role, you'll need the creativity and imagination to build quality experiences, the organizational skills and attention to detail needed for smooth execution, the networking skills to effectively engage the community and build partnerships, and the outgoing confidence to ask for sponsorships and donations. Additionally, you will need the technical and people skills required to be a strong contributor in a team environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for participation at fundraising events
- Develop and implement strategies to increase donor engagement and participation in events
- Coordinate with event committees, sponsors, community leaders and other strategic partnership organizations to ensure attendance.
- Lead the Coordination, execution of and programming of events.
- Manage sponsorship relationships from procurement through post-event recognition.
- Respond to registrant emails, track attendees, and set up seating charts as needed.
- Liaison with vendors including in-kind donations in all aspects of the event
- Evaluate the success of each event and implement improvements as needed
- Lead the follow-up and thanking of all donations and attendee appreciation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Non-Profit Fundraising, Event Management, Public Relations or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or a related role
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices
- Comfortable with communicating to all socioeconomic and educational levels
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent follow-through and writing skills.
- Confident and comfortable asking for donations, sponsorships, etc.
Screenings:
- Applicant must have a clear social media presence that aligns with the forward-facing nature of this job.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
Schedule:
- Evenings as needed
- Weekends as needed
