Reports to: Team Leader/Area Coordinator Department: Decking Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly Team Position: Yes Position Summary: Decking is responsible for installing roof decking for our homes Duties / Responsibilities: Blow-in insulation Glue rafters to sheetrock in specific areas Secure roof decking Rout vent openings Measure and cut roof decking Rout edge off roof Apply roof underlayment Move bundles of shingles from lift to roof Install hall fans, range hood pipes, and solar tubes Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High attention to Safety - Always follow all company safety protocols and standards Strong attention to detail Ability to read blueprints Ability to read a tape measure Ability to safely use and handle pneumatic nail guns and staplers Ability to safely use saws Ability to safely operate routers Ability to work safely with fall-restraint systems Demonstrate positive attitude & willingness to help other on the team Continuous willingness to learn and grow Physical Demands & Stresses: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand at an incline for 8-10 hours a day Must be able to work in dusty environments (sawdust, insulation, sheet rock dust) Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolds repeatedly throughout work day Works in an environment that includes exposure to extreme temperatures and environmental elements Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous movement Ability to work bending, kneeling, and crouching Ability to work at heights of up to 20 feet Tool Requirements: Tool Bag Tape Measure Hammer Utility Knife Why Clayton?
