ICF’s Survey Creation, Execution, Management, Analysis and Statistics team (within ICF’s Survey Research Practice) is seeking a Survey Data Specialist with experience developing and implementing data management strategies of varying complexity, producing cleaned and client-ready datasets, and conducting varying statistical analyses to support a range of projects including public health, housing, military and veteran’s issues, energy, transportation, environment, and social and economic policy. The successful candidate will work as part of a team with data managers, analysts, statisticians, and project managers. They will be responsible for developing and implementing data cleaning/editing specifications and code, supporting preparation of analytical plans, supporting sampling and weighting, and developing codebooks and other data user documentation. They should also be an experienced programmer in SAS and be comfortable independently conducting statistical analyses using univariate, bivariate (e.g., Chi-squared, t-test, etc.) and multivariate analysis (e.g., logistic regression) methods, and calculating survey estimates accounting for sample design. Key Responsibilities: Support senior data management and statistical staff in designing efficient data cleaning and management procedures to meet client needs and prepare deliverables. Support documentation of data management and quality control procedures. Plan, document and conduct statistical analyses on data generated by complex survey designs Participate in technical report development and writing Perform literature reviews and other industry-related research to understand current approaches and implement new approaches to data management, sampling, and analysis Basic Qualifications: Completed Master’s degree program in Survey Research/Methods, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Sociology, Organizational Psychology, and/or Anthropology. At least 3 years of applied and demonstrable experience in survey data management or analysis Strong knowledge of SAS is required. Preferred Qualifications: SAS certifications are a plus! Familiarity with other statistical programming or scripting languages (R, SPSS, Stata, Python) Previous experience supporting the design and application of sampling techniques (e.g., simple random samples, stratified samples, and multi-staged samples), calculation of survey weights, nonresponse analysis and nonresponse adjustments Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or other document editing software.
