A Little About Us:
The Principal Technical Program Manager is a key position within the Program and Project Governance (PPG) Team. The PPG team is responsible for operationalizing strategic initiatives and empowering the business by: (i) driving efficient and consistent strategic initiatives implementation, (ii) ensuring clear governance structure with explicit roles, processes and decision rights, (iii) sharing best PMO practices & delivering next gen PMO capability. The Principal Technical Program Manager works directly with PPG leads and key stakeholders to design global best practices and governance based on program management expertise and lead horizontal programs that depend on multiple functions across the business team.
You will be both a big picture and detail-oriented thinker with a program management and process oriented mindset. You must be comfortable influencing and interfacing with various stakeholders at all levels and across functions and will be responsible for helping to shape our center of excellence. You will also work on critical program initiatives managing timelines, dependencies and risks, and will work with vertical stakeholders to meet various milestones. You will report into the lead of Portfolio, Strategy, and Operations and will be based in Dulles, VA. Some travel may be required to meet with key stakeholders, but will be limited.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other PPG peers to identify improvement areas and create innovation solutions that can be consistently implemented across the vertical business areas
Build and evolve the Center of Excellence
Prioritize and manage improvement initiatives
Promote operational efficiencies and lean best practices
Program manage cross-functional programs/efforts that may include but not limited to Product, Engineering, Sales, Product Marketing, and Business Development
Define and drive cross-functional programs that align with OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)/Roadmaps; map program progress back to key results
Work with stakeholders to define deliverables and associated business value
Manage resource capacity, timelines, dependencies and risks and their impact to program deliverables
Work with vertical leads to drive completion of vertical milestones
Requirements:
10+ years experience in program management partnering with multiple stakeholders across multiple business functions; 8+ years in agile execution environment
Bachelor's Degree, required (B.S., a plus)
Knowledge and experience in digital media or technology industries
Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle using agile best practices
Highly organized and able to manage multiple complex work streams across business, sales, product, and tech
Able to drive tight deliverables/timelines with close collaboration with stakeholders and members of the Business Operations and Strategy team.
Strong risk and dependency management skills with diligent tracking and effective communications
Proficient communicator, both written and oral; ability to present program status effectively to executives and stakeholders
Creative energy and adaptability; someone who likes complexity and all of the challenges that transformation brings. Must be a team player.
Must be proficient in Jira/ Agile Tooling familiar with JQL, Structure, Portfolio for Jira and other Lean Tools.
Proficient at analyzing and designing scalable creative solutions with an iterative approach
Strong independent contributor but also a great team player and change agent
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, required
Agile certification (any type), required
