You will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity, and ensuring employee compliance with company policies for our union manufacturing facility in Ponca City, OK. How you will do it: Maintain required documentation, including electronic documentation, supporting Affirmative Action, Leaves of Absence including Family Medical Leaves, Attendance, Vacation, and Positive Performance. Drive recruitment activities for hourly positions following established process, in accordance with Affirmative Action requirements. Manage the temp staffing process, including work hours reporting and approving invoices Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation using corporate standardized onboarding material. Create and maintain personnel records. Support the administration of employee handbook. Assist with plant compliance with Federal and State employment and Labor Laws. Provide training and support for e-tools, including HR Atlas, Workday, Share point, Performance Management, and Survey Action Planning. Direct the efforts of outside vendors. Conducts investigations and recommends actions to effectively resolve policy violations. Seeks counsel from Legal as necessary to ensure proper risk management. Elevates matters to the regional HR lead or other appropriate authority as may be appropriate. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on various HR metrics including headcount, turnover, hours worked, etc. Support production supervisors with the hourly employee performance review process. Maintain labor relations in union environment. Establishes self as ‘go to’ HR person for managers and employees. Develops effective working relationships with local management and employees to influence and coach them on effective employment practices. Deploy training to inform or assist employees/managers on job related activities, policies or best practices. Provides input for process/policy improvement. Supports HR programs, processes and procedures emanating from COEs or other HR Leadership areas. Required Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field. Minimum of 3 years working in some aspect of HR. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are essential. Ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities. Must be able to quickly gain trust and build relationships. Preferred Experience as a human resources generalist in a manufacturing environment. Union experience.
