This role is an opportunity for a confident leader who has a deep calling to ministry, a heart for people, and a passion for ministry communication. The Communications Manager engages in the strategic and tactical development and execution of congregational and community communication on all platforms as part of the 12Stone Church marketing department.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Communication Strategy
- Development of a “member/attender” of 12Stone Church and a “potential reach” communication strategy to effectively reach both those who already attend and also those who might become attendees in the future
- Employ omni-channel messaging tactics across all platforms ensuring a consistent and seamless experience for users across all communication channels
- Develop and shape messaging to connect our congregation and potential congregation in every phase of their discipleship journey in partnership with Ministry Leads
- Streamline the delivery of relevant information inside and outside the church
- Proactively manage communication of Church event and promotions, ensuring all events have a strategic communication plan established and executed
- Function as consultant/liaison between ministry leaders and Marketing/Creative team to ensure effective messaging and promotion tactics are being employed
- Review monthly reports to analyze and improve messaging campaign performance, and to create impactful reports to share insights with Church Leadership and Ministry Leaders
- Initiate and drive large scale promotional campaigns for the Church (Christmas, Easter, Special Sermon Series, Next Steps Initiative, etc.)
- Support development and implementation of a guest follow up strategy and a new guest recruitment strategy in partnership with Ministry leads
Content Strategy
- Manage and execute the distribution of church-wide communications, including relative events and celebration of milestone moments, to encourage and inspire connection and engagement
- Leverage strategy and copywriting skills to build content for a variety of platforms
- Target group segmentation
- Available to assist with writing, editing, and proofreading of all creative and marketing content
- Manage publication schedules and content deliverable deadlines for global Church Communications

Experience
- 2 years of experience in developing and executing a communication strategy.
- A passion for engaging the church through written and digital communication.
- A student of mass and personal communication
- Excellent at written and verbal communication
- A team player who is committed to working with leadership and in cross-functional teams
- Preferably Bachelors in Marketing or Communication
