Custodian- Cannabis Facilities

14er Boulder is hiring for a Facilities Custodian. The Cannabis Production Facilities Custodian is responsible for the cleaning and light maintenance of all cannabis cultivation facilities, and MIP to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for product and employees. Essential Duties:

• Follows janitorial cleaning schedule that outlines areas and with what frequency they are to be cleaned.
• Follows posted instruction on use of various detergents and tools to be used to clean specific areas. Some tools are mechanical.
• Harvest Cleaning & Sanitation: Cleans Flower Rooms (floors, tables and walls) on Harvest days
• Cleans restrooms. Stock and refill soap and paper dispensers.
• Cleans common areas i.e. floors, elevator, door handles, walls, mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming
• Take out trash, recycling, and green waste as needed.
  
• Keeps all storage rooms and containers in a clean and orderly condition.
• Cleans outside grounds as needed (i.e. pulls weeds, picks up litter, salts ice, shovel snow on walkways, sweeps sidewalks/parking lot etc).
• Maintain janitor's closet
• Manage inventory for janitorial supplies and tools and communicate needs to purchasing. Maintain tools, clean mop heads and rags.
• Clean clone trays all facilities
• Cleaning of can filters all facilities
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Normal physical activity can be strenuous and may involve prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, and crouching
• Ability to use ladders
• This job is exposed, on a daily basis, to temperatures and the handling of cleaning/sanitizing chemicals and cleaning agents on a daily basis, for example bleach, floor degreaser.
• Work takes place both inside and outside the facility in both environments protected and non-protected from weather.
• PPE is required for certain tasks and is provided by The Company
• The employee must occasionally push, pull, and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds. Work requires spatial perception and finger and manual dexterity

Minimum Qualifications

• Janitorial experience
• Employees must have reliable transportation and be able to move between all required facilities; utilize standard office equipment; standard email; access filing system/cabinets; and communicate effectively and efficiently in person or by telephone.
• Basic understanding of Colorado MED waste disposal laws
• Must hold an active Colorado State MED Employee License.
• Eligibility to be a City of Boulder Keyholder

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months-1 year Cannabis Facility Janitorial experience preferred
• Basic maintenance skills such as basic plumbing, basic mechanic skills
• Expert of Colorado MED waste disposal laws
• Understanding of Colorado MED’s approved chemicals

Schedule

• 40 hours a week
• Monday-Friday 10:00am-7:00pm

Compensation

• $18.00-$19.50 an hour DOE
• Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long term disability benefits on the 60th date of employment. The Company covers between 76-79% of the monthly employee only medical premium cost
• Employee Discounts first day of employment
• PTO accrual on 61st day of employment, with accrual max 80 hours a year plus 8 hours of PTO hours added to employee balance annually on employee’s start date
• Badge renewal reimbursement after 90 days
