CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Beauport Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as a Maître d'. As a lead member of the front of house team, the Maître d' will be responsible for making and confirming reservations, planning for large parties and all private dining operations, host stand staff scheduling and training to ensure the highest possible standards of service, and greeting customers upon arrival.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee host and dining room operations.
- Greet guests and guide them to their tables.
- Make, adjust, and cancel guest reservations.
- Anticipate the needs of scheduled special parties.
- Communicate seating, dietary, and any special request to the hosts, servers, and Chef.
- Answer guest questions regarding food, drinks, and specials.
- Resolve guest complaints or disputes.

Manage host staff to ensure efficient and excellent service throughout a given seating.
Assign service staff sections. - Check to ensure that all side work has been completed as assigned.
- Keep menus updated online and in-house and ensure cleanliness of all host stand areas.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least three (3) years in a full service, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Professional and confident verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task.
- Adaptive organizational skills and the ability to change plans to meet new circumstances.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to manage guest complaints/concerns.
- Positive, team player attitude.
- Self-motivated individual.
- Neat and professional appearance.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Work will primarily take place in the Restaurant, Front and Back of house areas, and Food & Beverage service areas.
- Interior and Exterior of the Restaurant, exposure to sun, heat, cold and changing weather conditions..
