Job Details

Our client is seeking a skilled Reliability Specialist to join their team in Fayetteville, AR. As a key player in manufacturing operations, you will focus on enhancing asset reliability by providing technical support to the maintenance function. Your primary goal will be to optimize time-based (PM) and condition-based maintenance (CBM) processes, driving improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The Reliability Specialist will be responsible for conducting technical reliability studies, analyzing equipment history, and using predictive technologies to prevent equipment failures. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on equipment effectiveness through data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate technical reliability studies and evaluations of design concepts to ensure product reliability.
  • Recommend design or test methods and process control procedures to meet required reliability standards.
  • Complete risk analysis studies on new designs and processes, compiling performance reports and process control statistics to identify variables affecting product and process reliability.
  • Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
  • Analyze equipment history and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve performance, availability, and quality issues.
  • Conduct Bad Actor Analysis (BAA) to determine the significance of equipment issues and facilitate RCA to pinpoint the root causes.
  • Support Preventive Maintenance Evaluation (PME) and Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO), including human-factored procedure writing.
  • Collaborate with maintenance leadership to develop, refine, and monitor the Condition-based Maintenance (CBM) program. This program includes Vibration Analysis (VA), Infrared Thermography, Motor Circuit Analysis, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic Emission, and more.
  • Lead and facilitate Asset Criticality Analysis to prioritize maintenance efforts on critical equipment.
  • Drive improvements in Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (MP&S) and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) processes.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in reliability engineering or maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to leadership effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management fundamentals and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Structured problem-solving skills, with preferred experience in Six Sigma or other problem-solving models.
  • Experience working with external partners, vendors, and suppliers.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. regularly.
  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing environments, including loud noise, heat, cold, wet, and slippery conditions.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
  • Must be able to move safely around machinery and work in plant environments.
