Market Manager

Overview

2020 Companies is hiring a full-time Market Manager to represent and manage our partner in telecommunications!

We are seeking candidates that are excellent communicators, outgoing, professional, and reliable to source events in their local community and engage with consumers to promote our client's telecommunication service. In this role you will work remotely to source and schedule events within your brand ambassador's territories and you will also work onsite as needed with your team to execute.

Your Role as a Market Manager: 

• Be the face and first impression at local events 
• Source local free events in your community (HOA events, yoga events, local festivals, charity events, etc.)
• Partner, pitch, and schedule events with community leaders and event directors to promote our client's telecommunication brand
• Engage, demonstrate, educate, and inform consumers of our client's plans of service 
• Maintain strong and professional relationships with client, company, and consumers 
• Be able to set up and tear down a 10x10 tent set up (tent, table, weights, premiums, banners) by yourself
• Spot check brand ambassadors at events
• Schedule weekly team calls with brand ambassadors
• Have one-on-one calls with brand ambassadors to ensure number of scheduled activations meet client and company expectation
• Remotely manage and order inventory for brand ambassadors (order flyers, premiums, replacements for set up)
• Train team of market leads on how to source local community events and overcome challenges
• Assist brand ambassadors in maintaining a schedule three week in advance
• Provide timely and professional event recaps weekly

Additional Details:

• Dates: Ongoing, Full Time, Monday - Sunday 
• Off Dates: Will vary by event schedule 
• Uniform: Khakis, company polo, and closed toe shoes
• Location: Must be willing to cover within 60 miles of your zip code 
• Transportation: Market Manager is responsible for providing own reliable transportation and transporting event materials when needed
• Event Materials: 10x10 tent, table, table cloth, weights, banner, premiums, demo devices

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate, direct and coordinate activities of team members to meet and/or exceed goals
• Accountable for team members and all documents pertaining to team productivity with oversite from Manager
• Responsible to accurately track activations, events and projects
• Effectively provide daily direction, training, and guidance while ensuring retention of the Brand Ambassadors
• Occasional travel to locations within Region
• Attend meetings and conference calls as required in and out of the Region, as needed
• Accountable to meet and/or events and activation goals
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
• Administer and document all counselings and terminations appropriately, accurately and in a timely manner while following established procedures
• Assist in temporarily overseeing event coverage as business needs dictate
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Performance Measurements:

• Ensure team meets established monthly/quarterly events and activations goals/quota
• Customer/client satisfaction based on team execution and substantiated complaints
• Maintain proper headcount across Region

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Business degree preferred
• 3-5 years retail or sales experience required
• Proven track record of consistently exceeding performance metrics in sales or retail environment
• Multi-unit Sales Management experience preferred
• Demonstrate ethical and professional standards in a business environment
• Demonstrate good judgment and initiative, make decisions and problem solve
• Able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Must be able to travel throughout the Region
