Commercial Roofing Project Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial PM specializing in commercial roofing to join our team. As a Commercial Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating the costs associated with commercial roofing projects, including new installations, replacements, and repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods, as well as proven experience in estimating and bidding on commercial roofing projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Evaluation: Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to evaluate the scope and requirements of commercial roofing projects. Conduct site visits and assessments as needed to gather information and assess project conditions.

2. Cost Estimation: Utilize industry-standard estimating techniques and software to prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects. Estimate material quantities, labor hours, equipment costs, and subcontractor expenses based on project specifications and industry standards.

3. Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids and proposals for commercial roofing projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements. Collaborate with sales, project management, and operations teams to develop bid strategies and pricing models.

4. Vendor/Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain quotes and pricing information from roofing material suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors. Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate pricing and terms to secure the best value for materials and services.

5. Technical Expertise: Apply expertise in commercial roofing systems, including flat roofing, low-slope roofing, and steep-slope roofing, to assess project requirements and develop appropriate roofing solutions. Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in commercial roofing.

6. Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and contractors on roofing projects. Communicate project details, answer questions, and address client concerns to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

7. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with commercial roofing projects, such as weather conditions, material availability, and labor shortages. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address project risks proactively.

8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, proposals, and related documentation. Prepare and submit reports, certifications, and other documentation as required by clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimating or related field.

· Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to pass pre-hire physical and pre-hire drug screen

· Valid Driver’s License with no restriction

· Follow company policies and procedures, OSHA, and applicable State and Federal laws

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
