As an Associate Scientist II, you will be part of a fast-paced team that optimizes and utilizes a variety of analytical methods to help develop our pipelines products. Our work directly influences process changes that allows 2seventy to provide the safest and most effective treatments to our patients. The Analytical Operation group is all about working collaboratively. Whether it’s making sure our analytics are accurate and precise, supporting testing of in-process intermediates, or compiling data for regulatory submissions, we are driven by a genuine desire to provide superior analytics for our drug substance/product. How you’ll spend your time:
- Performing routine analytical testing (cell culture, qPCR, and ELISA) and providing accurate, timely results to client groups (Research, Process Development, Manufacturing).
- Assisting in the execution of phase-appropriate test method qualifications.
- Assisting in the optimization of methods and supporting investigations.
- Generating, managing, and analyzing data utilizing standard software (ELN, jmp, Excel, etc.).
- Performing general lab maintenance and upkeep, including ordering laboratory supplies, restocking of communal lab space, and maintaining key analytical equipment.
- Assisting with authoring and/or revising SOPs, work instructions, test methods, qualification reports, and forms.
Who you are and what you’ve accomplished:
- BS with 0-2 year or MS with 1 year in Biology (or related discipline) in a biotechnology discipline
- Experience with qPCR, ELISA, and cell culture experience preferred, ddPCR experience is a plus!
- Technical understanding and/or experience with other general lab techniques such as pipetting and making reagents
- Working knowledge of various computer software, hardware, and standard office systems sufficient to record and analyze scientific data and prepare reports (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, jmp, Softmax, etc.).
- Superb organizational, analytical, and communications skills.
- A “do-what-it-takes” attitude and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
