Senior Account Executive - Technology Public Relations & Content Marketing
300Brand seeks a senior account executive for a technology public relations and content marketing/strategy role. The ideal candidate would have experience in enterprise technology and ideally, the government market. Public relations responsibilities include:
- Develop and edit written content (e.g., press releases, media pitches, bylines, etc.)
- Contribute to strategy development and execute public relations campaigns
- Secure and coordinate press interviews, through proactive and reactive pitching and understanding of publication/editor needs
- Demonstrate and maintain understanding of IT-focused legislation and industry/technology trends as well as client solutions and priorities
- Manage client program goals and SLAs; deliver highly responsive service and build positive relationships with key stakeholders
- Maintain proactive, clear, and consistent communication with clients
- Manage account administration, as needed (e.g., building timelines, tracking deadlines, building meeting agendas/recaps, developing client reports, etc.)
Content marketing responsibilities include:
- Manage all aspects of digital content marketing programs, including developing copy for websites, marketing campaigns, and social media, as well as managing deliverables for campaigns and programs from start to finish
- Manage project timelines and coordinate on tasks with other internal teams (research, creative, content)
- Analyze progress against goals; have ability to course correct when needed and coach/guide marketing program teams -- strong knowledge of best practices
General responsibilities and expectations include:
- Maintain awareness and understanding of 300Brand’s portfolio of services
- Contribute ideas to program development and new business proposals
- Conduct research of clients’ business and public sector IT industry to maintain a current knowledge base
- Maintain proactive, clear, and consistent communication with internal colleagues to meet project deadlines
- Manage and direct junior team members on projects, as needed
- Collaborate across internal teams including creative, digital services, research, and content
- Deliver highly responsive service and build positive relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
- Attend and participate in office staff meetings and required education trainings
- Report to management any problems in implementing 300Brand policies and/or in performing job functions
Skills Required
- 5-7 years of public relations or marketing experience, with experience in the technology industry strongly preferred; government experience a plus, but not required
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong project management skills and an eye for details
- Ability to track, understand, and write about implications of public policy issues
- Established record executing PR campaigns and delivering results
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and be a problem solver
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Ability to generate ideas and think creatively
- Ability to work within budgets
- Ability to supervise the work of Account Coordinators and Interns
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- BA or BS degree
