Description
BOSA is a restaurant concept inspired by the coastal fishing town of the same namesake, on the island of Sardinia in Italy. Known to be one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Bosa, Sardinia counts no more than 8,500 inhabitants, colorful buildings, a hilltop castle and a river flowing right through the village.
BOSA will feature creative cuisine with the freshest local ingredients, focusing on seafood, but paying homage to owner/restaurateur Sal Lupoli by featuring his signature pizza. Classic and modern cocktails will draw inspiration from Italy, along with a substantial wine and craft beer menu.
The Rooftop at BOSA will provide an unprecedented atmosphere with unparalleled views of the Merrimack Valley from the 10th floor of The Heights. A boutique-sized inside bar will be complemented by sprawling outdoor space that holds hundreds of guests. Sophisticated lounge furniture, great music, small plates and top-notch cocktails will bring the rooftop to life every night as the place to be in the Merrimack Valley.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee day-to-day restaurant operations at the BOSA restaurant.
- Assist the Restaurant General Manager with providing leadership and instilling a work environment based upon respect; providing opportunities for staff to learn, grow and develop their abilities through training of employees.
- Assist with implementing overall food & beverage the strategy that aligns with the restaurant’s organizational policies and goals.
- Train, develop, coach, and evaluate employee performance; ensure systems for training employees are fully implemented and followed.
- Assist with the scheduling, training, developing, mentoring, and leading a team of restaurant professionals in assigned workgroups for the front-of-the-house operations.
- Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for the BOSA Restaurant.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management capacity within the restaurant and/or hospitality industry.
- Minimum 2 years’ of experience and demonstrated success in a high volume, upscale environment required.
- Must be able to understand and analyze financial profit and loss statements, food cost, inventory, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Must be able to successfully complete food and alcohol safety certification programs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
- Available to work different hours including weekends, days and nights.
