Title: Senior Bookkeeper
Objective:
We are looking for a smart, motivated individual to join our accounting team as a Senior Bookkeeper. Job responsibilities would include processing payables, creating invoices/sales orders and maintaining relevant datasets. Experience in NS or similar ERP a plus.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Responsible for entering purchase and sales orders in compliance with NetSuite best practices.
- Maintains data related to vendors and customers. Updates relevant fields and processes invoice/bill payments.
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
- Understanding of ERP accounting systems, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Experience creating and updating data sets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Willingness to learn new skills and work well in a team setting.
- Enthusiasm in adapting to new processes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working on an accounting team highly preferred.
