Part-Time Human Resources Manager
495 Auto Group - Lowell, MA Area
495 Auto Group, a well-established, family-run automotive group in the Lowell, MA area, is looking for a skilled part-time Human Resources Manager with a background in the automotive industry preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily employee relations and address employment concerns within the organization.
- Lead recruitment efforts and manage the onboarding process for new hires.
- Assist new employees in completing necessary documentation and explain benefit options.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and manage responses to unemployment claims.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date employee records.
- Administer employee benefit programs, ensuring efficient operation.
- Manage and update records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Ensure the organization remains compliant with all applicable Federal and State employment laws, including EEO, ADA, and FMLA.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims, OSHA reporting, and related investigations.
- Conduct internal investigations, advising managers on policy and disciplinary matters to ensure fair and consistent practices.
- Support the organization’s compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
- Safeguard confidential medical, injury, or workers' compensation records for each employee.
Position Requirements:
- At least 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Full understanding of State and Federal labor laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, leave policies, and applicable employment laws.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
- A strong track record of professional growth and stability.
