Part-Time Human Resources Manager
495 Auto Group - Lowell, MA Area

495 Auto Group, a well-established, family-run automotive group in the Lowell, MA area, is looking for a skilled part-time Human Resources Manager with a background in the automotive industry preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily employee relations and address employment concerns within the organization.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and manage the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Assist new employees in completing necessary documentation and explain benefit options.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and manage responses to unemployment claims.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date employee records.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, ensuring efficient operation.
  • Manage and update records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Ensure the organization remains compliant with all applicable Federal and State employment laws, including EEO, ADA, and FMLA.
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims, OSHA reporting, and related investigations.
  • Conduct internal investigations, advising managers on policy and disciplinary matters to ensure fair and consistent practices.
  • Support the organization’s compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Safeguard confidential medical, injury, or workers' compensation records for each employee.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Full understanding of State and Federal labor laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, leave policies, and applicable employment laws.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
  • A strong track record of professional growth and stability.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug test, is required for employment.
