About the Opportunity
The Director of IT is responsible for reviewing, designing, implementing and managing the overall IT infrastructure and support across multiple organizations. Critical to this role is to build world class scalable systems to maximize employee productivity while managing overall costs. The role will be a trusted business partner, constantly assessing the needs of the businesses as they enter varying phases of growth. Data security is of the utmost importance. The IT Director shall understand and use the latest technology to ensure that the companies’ IP, employees’, and customers’ data are never compromised.
Responsibilities
- Ensures network stability and continually reviews tech stack to design and implement upgrades as necessary
- Manages selection and deployment of all new technologies
- Regularly meets with business leaders to ensure business requirements are being achieved
- Maintains a documented disaster recovery plan and updates as necessary
- Creates an employee handbook for best IT practices around data and asset safety
- Reviews and improves upon asset tracking and protection
- Selects and manages all 3rd party providers and vendors
- Reviews, implements, and manages all productivity tools
- Manages and develops small IT team
- Leads IT audits and assists with company information security requirements and reporting
- Partners with legal and data security teams
- Owns the annual IT budget planning process
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in information technology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a high growth technology-based company
- Must possess strong project and vendor management experience
- Hands on roll-up your sleeves mentality
- Evidence of building scalable systems and latest knowledge of productivity tools that can be leveraged across multiple organizations
- Ability to work cross functionally and support multiple business partners
