What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician - 2nd Shift position at 5.11 Tactical?
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the Facilities Supervisor and 2nd Shift Manager with maintenance of the facility, including distribution facilities, interior office areas, janitorial and assigned facilities projects. This is a Mon – Fri schedule with some Saturday work requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all office areas, as well as outside areas, parking lots, and yard are clean and neat, check to ensure office, break rooms and restrooms are cleaned.
- Assist in monitoring conveyor line during shift operations. Report issues at end of shift to Facilities Supervisor / Manager.
- Repair all issues that can be fixed upon discovery. For example -
- Band Replacement
- Flat top belts
- Photo Eye adjustment and
- Any additional items as per training
- Set up and take down to support company events – includes lunches periodically.
- Complete and maintain documentation of all items on Daily Checklist.
- Complete all assigned projects as directed by Facilities Supervisor and or Manager.
- Prepare an End of Shift Report to advise what was accomplished as well as incomplete projects and other information such as parts needed / parts put into use.
- Report any safety/security concerns observed during your shift.
- Operate electric lifts, electric pallet jack, cardboard baler and steel strapping machine, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following credentials:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with and repairing mechanical issues on equipment such as conveyor belts and other distribution machinery.
- Equipment Certification for electric lifts, Electric Pallet Jack, Cardboard Bailers and Steel Strapping machines preferred.

Pay Range: $17 - $20 per hour

Salary : $17 - $20
